Welcome to THE TABLE

Welcome to "The Table," a quarterly newsletter dedicated to growing the curiosity and cultural competency in all of us. This is NOT a "Corporate" Diversity, Equity, Inclusion" page. Instead, let's remember that Adulting can be hard. Learning a new culture, can be even harder. That is where I come in. As a Cultural Consultant and Event Planner, I've been you. I'm here to answer the question "What's going on?"

My “WHY

Have you ever been at an event with people from another culture and awkwardly wondered to yourself: "What's going on?"

In silent thoughts you wonder:

"Who do I ask about what's going on?"

My desire to educate about culture is born out of my own beautiful Inter-racial and multi-cultural experience in 2018. I found myself educating my soon-to-be American In-Laws, family, and bridal party on my Nigerian Culture.

That is where I come in, as a Cultural Consultant. I provide a wealth of perspectives, insights, and context. I've been you. I have funny and relatable stories from personal experience to help answer the "What's going on question."

In this newsletter I'll feature some awesome people from different cultures who can shed light on their thoughts and perspectives.

It's one thing to try a new dish and another thing to know what you are eating.

Let me help you, fully enjoy the meal.

In the words of author Farzana Nayani, I am here ‘to help support that wonder, discovery, and exploration in others.’
